I'd like to present my 9th SoundScape before I go on my holidays to Siberia. This one is a classical soundscape unlike the most of my soundscapes on this channel. It was recorded shortly after Soundscape 08, but I decided to keep it unpublished for a while. So, here we have a Godin Solidac guitar equipped with Roland GK-2A midi pickup, Roland VG-88 as a sound processor, Digitech Legend II as an additional sound effect (reverb), Proel USB-8M mixer and Boss RC-50 as a looping station. Technical notes. Before I started playing I prepared an empty Phrase with no sound that lasts one harmony circle. Empty phrases are used to make seamless loops. A rhythmic guide is sent to my headphones. "This place is massive!" Ryan said while walking around. "I bugsy the biggest room!" Demi said while raising her arm in the air. "Nuh-uh!" Jasmine said. Demi and Jasmine both started rushing upstairs to find the biggest room as Miley just sat down on her suitcase; me and the guys stared at her. "What? There is no point even trying to get there before them..." Miley said. We all laughed slightly and Christian exited the room over to what I think wa! s the kitchen, I looked around as I brushed my hand over the dream catcher which was placed just under the front door way, weird place to put it, I brushed my finger tips over the bottom of it where it made a 'chime' sound as the small metallic bottoms touched one another. I left it go and walked into the kitchen which had a wide spread of windows in it, the back yard looked amazing, it was green grass everywhere and a little pretty painted shed at the bottom, the back door had the same dream catcher ...

Mechanical horn From the moment mechanical transport appeared and in some cases even earlier than that people needed a means to warn pedestrians of a coming vehicle to ensure their safety. Wind signaling devices or klaxons as well as small bells had certain disadvantages. Bells could continuously ring as the vehicle moved on a bad road or at a high speed. A klaxon required that the driver used their whole hand to make a sound. This was especially unacceptable for two-wheel transport including bicycles and motorcycles. Raymond Beaty, a mechanic from New-Jersey, offered a solution to this problem. It was the mechanical horn. Structurally it consisted of small bells with an actuating mechanism hidden inside and a small lever operated by the driver's finger. The whole mechanism was placed on the bicycle handle bar. To produce a sound the lever was to be pulled. As the lever moved it turned the shaft to which the mainspring with hammers at the ends was attached. The spring is cok! ed and released with the help of the lever. It causes the hammers to hit the bells. At the same time the driver can honk the horn with just a finger. Thanks to its simplicity and reliability, bicycle horn of this design became widely spread and was used for over a hundred years. Only in the recent years the electric ringer started to replace it.
