I'd like to present my 9th SoundScape before I go on my holidays to Siberia. This one is a classical soundscape unlike the most of my soundscapes on this channel. It was recorded shortly after Soundscape 08, but I decided to keep it unpublished for a while. So, here we have a Godin Solidac guitar equipped with Roland GK-2A midi pickup, Roland VG-88 as a sound processor, Digitech Legend II as an additional sound effect (reverb), Proel USB-8M mixer and Boss RC-50 as a looping station. Technical notes. Before I started playing I prepared an empty Phrase with no sound that lasts one harmony circle. Empty phrases are used to make seamless loops. A rhythmic guide is sent to my headphones. Visit my project Breden on www.cdbaby.com Soundscape (in music) -- is a term that designates a special form of musical text representation characterized of domination of saturated sound textures, frequent absence of clearly defined rhythmic and harmony structures, indistinct and relative composit! ional structure. It is common to Soundscapes that overflowing delayed sounds last long in space and time, spread wide in tessitura and aimed at creation of special emotional, often meditative, states. In musical sense the notion of Soundscape is relevant to the notion of Ambient and may act as its expressive means. Soundscapes can be often met in music of such performers as Robert Fripp and King Crimson, Brian Eno, Leo Abrahams, Pink Floyd and many many others... Thanks for watching!
